Indian Memories Jewellery

These are made using printed techniques where I use silk screens and carved rubber blocks to print with enamel. I often choose to print onto water slide decal paper that I can then collage onto an enamel surface before firing them in the kiln. They use techniques that are more commonly employed in other media, that I have utilised for use with enamel. Many are augmented with small additions of gold leaf or lustre. They are all on sterling silver and feature silver chains and ear fittings. Each piece or pair are unique and individual.

They arose as a result of several very influential visits to India which left an ever lasting impression on me. The enamelling aims to recall old and much loved silks and saris that have been handed down through the generations and are filled with love and memories.
