This unique and special necklace features cloisonné enamel geese flying over the sea at sunset. The central enamel disc measures 35 mm diameter. It is sterling and fine silver and beautifully hand engraved under the enamel. It hangs on a necklace of gorgeous grey freshwater pearls which softly shimmer in shades of pink and green. It features a hand made clasp which is sturdy and easy to fasten and unfasten. The length is easily variable from 48 - 53 cm with the aid of the chain extensions.  Additionally it has been designed that in the future if required the pearls could be removed for it to be hung on a chain. It carries a hallmark from the London Assay Office. This has been made as an heirloom of the future to be handed down and enjoyed through the generations. 

Moments of time and place. 

These pieces of jewellery are developed from my photos and small paintings of time spent in some of my favourite places. Our lives and memories are made up of moments in time. These pieces all recall special days in my life when I have felt happy and at peace. Looking up and focussing on big skies and the land and sea below helps you forget all the conflicts and troubles in the world today. Remembering them can transport you back to those moments and brighten your day. When I am somewhere special I typically take lots of photos, trying to capture the atmosphere as well as details. Additionally I draw in my sketch book and make notes of colours and wildlife that I see. On the silver I use hand-engraving and then blend and shade enamels to add colour. Details are added with cloisonné wires augemented with enamel paint. Each thin layer is fired separately in the kiln for 1-2 minutes in the kiln. Finally the piece is finished by polishing with diamond grits and polish to achieve a fine, perfect smooth and tactile surface.
